Quiddity is a living archive — every feature exists to keep your words exactly as you said them, and to put you in control of who hears them, story by story.
Every word you say is preserved exactly as spoken — never rewritten, summarized, or polished. Other services edit your words into tidy prose. We never touch them. That is the Verbatim Law.
Your transcripts are never modified after they are saved. Only you can correct a story, by re-recording it. The recording keeps every stutter, every pause while you search for the right word, every run-on sentence — that is your voice, and it is the product.
Ask your Avatar a question and it answers with the story you actually told, word for word — and the people you invite can ask it too, across generations. The Avatar is included with the Fast-Track and the Monthly Subscription — it opens after your 3rd completed paid session. Any other archive can add it with a one-time Avatar Activation.
The Avatar only ever speaks your verbatim words back — it never invents, paraphrases, or summarizes. Ask it about your wedding day and it answers with the story you actually told. When a usable original recording of the passage exists, the Avatar plays it. When one does not, it speaks your exact words in a synthetic stand-in voice — not a clone of yours.

Every Guardian has a "Can view stories while I’m alive" permission you control. Every story carries its own audience — only you, family, one specific person, or everyone. "Only me" stories are never visible to anyone else, and no one else sees a story unless its audience includes them. These rules are enforced at the database layer, not just in the app.
An opt-in Legacy area holds the later chapters. Memorial Mode is coming soon: it will close an archive for good, with a memorial page.
Memorial Mode is coming soon, and nothing can seal an archive today. When it arrives it will be deliberately irreversible and enforced at the database layer — which is exactly why it asks you first. When it arrives, only a Guardian you have chosen will be able to request it, you will be emailed the moment they do, and you will have 72 hours to cancel. Until then nothing in any archive is sealed, and every word stays exactly as you said it.
Sessions happen out loud, in your web browser on a computer, tablet or phone. There is nothing to type and nothing to install.
