Built for a life still being lived

Everything your story deserves.

Quiddity is a living archive — every feature exists to keep your words exactly as you said them, and to put you in control of who hears them, story by story.

Verbatim Forever

Every word you say is preserved exactly as spoken — never rewritten, summarized, or polished. Other services edit your words into tidy prose. We never touch them. That is the Verbatim Law.

Your transcripts are never modified after they are saved. Only you can correct a story, by re-recording it. Every stutter, every pause while you search for the right word, every run-on sentence — that is your voice, and it is the product.

Your Voice, an Avatar

Hear your stories spoken back in your own voice, today. Ask your Avatar a question and it answers with the story you actually told — and the people you invite can ask it too, across generations.

The Avatar only ever speaks your verbatim words back — it never invents, paraphrases, or summarizes. Ask it about your wedding day and it answers with the story you actually told, in the voice you told it in.

Every story has its own audience — just you, your family, one specific person, or everyone. Invite the people who matter and decide, per Guardian, exactly what they can see.

Every Guardian has a "Can view stories while I’m alive" permission you control. Every story carries its own audience — family, Guardians only, one specific person, everyone, or only you. "Only me" stories are never visible to anyone else, and stories you set to release on memorial stay sealed until Memorial Mode. These rules are enforced at the database layer, not just in the app.

A Legacy, If You Want One

An opt-in Legacy area holds the later chapters: when you choose, your archive can close as a finished book — permanent, unedited, and shared with the people you named, with a QR poster that carries your voice anywhere.

The closing of an archive (Memorial Mode) is deliberately irreversible and enforced at the database layer: once activated, nothing can be edited, added, or deleted. Your archive becomes a finished book — every word still exactly as you said it.

Three Ways to Record

Use the browser, dial in by phone, or type your answers. Quiddity adapts to how you’re most comfortable sharing your story.

Sessions are guided by an AI Biographer that asks one question at a time and follows where you lead. No script, no preparation — just a conversation, preserved.
