Your own voice

The story, in the voice that told it.

Quiddity keeps every story as a recording in the storyteller’s own voice, beside its word-for-word transcript, so the people they share it with hear the story told, not just read it.

Not a transcript, not a summary, not a synthetic voice: the pauses, the laugh, the way it was told.

Recorded, not re-created

Sessions happen out loud, in your web browser on a computer, tablet or phone. There is nothing to type and nothing to install. Every story keeps the actual recording from the conversation it came from — not a re-creation, the actual take.

Beside every word

The recording sits beside the story’s transcript, and every word is preserved exactly as spoken — never rewritten, summarized, or polished.

Who hears it

You choose who can listen, story by story: only you, your family, one specific person, or everyone. The people you share a story with can press play and listen whenever they want.

Yours to download

From Account → Export Your Archive you can download everything yourself, free: a ZIP with your recordings, every story word for word, your photos, videos and voice notes, and a page that lets you browse it all without the internet. You can also download a PDF of your stories’ words.

And when the Avatar answers

When a usable original recording of the passage exists, the Avatar plays it. When one does not, it speaks your exact words in a synthetic stand-in voice — not a clone of yours.
